Because the vandal bureaucrat (Monk) of the GTA Wiki issued a request to disaffiliate with this wiki.

Just because of that? Someone came up with the idea and it had to be done? Amazing...

    • I wish I saw this going down... Makes no sense for Monk to pull this shit. The affiliate wikis idea was put together by me close to 5 years ago, and now the current transient gta wiki "team" want out...FINE. Monks attacks on the myths wiki is pathetic, considering he dumped over 800 edits here and was a patroller. He is a class - A example of a disgruntled ex-editor who's ideas never caught on and were laughed at. Now he is out for revenge. What a joke. It's funny how over on gta wiki they are embracing Gunshow and listening to him like he's some sort of voice of reason... REALITY CHECK, isn't it Gunshow who vandalized the myth wiki for over 2 years and was ringleader of a clique of social outcast backward loser neo nazis. Hmmm. Gta wiki is sooo prestigious, might want to collect past facts on your "victim". Gunshow was given a chance in 2016 to shape up and not be a radical bafoon. After numerous personal attacks on me, I forgave and buried the hachette. Now yet again, Gunshow is trying to pull the wool over everyones eyes.

    • Alright, since links to Grand Theft Wiki are kinda long, I decided to create a template for that. The usage is simple:

      {{GTW|Page_Link|Page Name}}

There is a downside, that if you forget to put the underscore in the first field, the link is going to break, so you should keep that in mind. Still, it is surely easier to use this. Thanks.

This reminds me of that quote from 'Shooter'; "...your grandfather's grandfather is from different tribe." There are some revenge campaigns here? That what you're saying?

    • Why though? Monkeypolice's incident on this wiki is his personal issue, he doesn't represent GTA Wiki, and his ban doesn't represent GTA Myths Wiki. And now they're disaffiliating the two's 5-year relationship simply because ONE bureaucrat from there got blocked here?

As I said, that is his personal issue, not the wikis', it concerns only him. They shouldn't take action on it like it's some sort of critical issue that's ruining one of the wikis.

Votes of gta wiki staff could be not even individual. It's so that, every request made by Monk is automatically considered to be correct and right for gta wiki. The staff there are obviously cheap followers of Monk, funny that most of them voted without commenting. They could've at least covered their votes with their own reasons.

I had a small chat with one of the staff members of gta wiki, and, basically what he told me is that if he sees a request that's made by Monk he would suddenly vote postively because according to him, that is always right for the wiki. In my opinion, it's likely the guy (and other staff there) voted without even properly reading the CNB request at first place.

Monk wasn't just a patroller, but an administrator of myths wiki, what adds to proof that Monk simply un-affiliated myths wiki because of the hate that he has to it, and the "argument" about Goatman, just like other ones were just between Monk and us, and it was nothing more than just personal thing, not between the two wikis. That selfish guy's request can't and will not damage the GTA Myths Wiki.

    • From what all you guys said here, it turns out both GTA Wiki & GTA Myths Wiki were, or still are, hostages of MonkeyPolice's iron fist, who can say what comes to his mind and everybody must act in accordance to that known saying "your wish is my command", or worse. I personally think these wikis being un-affiliated is stupid - they're like 2 sides of the same coin [you probably know that one too :)]. If this stuff is true, we're in maze of intrigues. What should we do?

    • It's unfortunate that Monk wants to take out his personal frustrations of being a hack myth hunter by severing ties between the two sites. Monk does not care what is best for GTA Wiki, and is willing to deprive fans of GTA from full gta knowledge, which encompasses myths. The staff there voted on it so it's not changing unless another vote is initiated there which probably won't happen because as Boomer said, most of them are meatpuppets hoping to get in Monk's good graces so they might be an admin or b'crat one day. Pathetic, but, operates the same as when i was there years ago. One of the most dysfunctional wikis around is undoubtedly gta wiki. Grand theft wiki has the same material though. In fact it was the same wiki until the founder moved the site to a private domain after a dispute with wikia. Hence, liks to wikias' gta wiki can just be redirected to the original gta wiki.

With governing autocracy people, such as Monk, it will continue to go down. That's what frightens me most.

    • Grand Theft Wiki actually seems to be finer than GTA wiki is, there was a bunch of people over at GTAForums who wanted conduct a series of mass edits to update it and turn it into the main source of GTA information. I don't know if they're still on it though. Maybe people here should?

Why don't we conduct the 'lustration' of the GTA wiki & Myths Wiki instead?

    • I just can't get over the fact that the GTA Wiki "staff" is blindly following Monk, Monk's actions are nothing but immature, he's taking his personal vendetta to wikia administration. How incompetent do you have to be to blindly follow someone no matter what he has been?

    • I don't think GTA Wiki is shit, as I've been editing on it for the latest time. I'm not a new user, I had an account here but I closed it because I had reached my limit of name changes. In fact I'm friends with one of the admins on this website.

GTA Wiki is fine, it's just that its staff isn't. This isn't me taking shots at them, I just wish their administration could've been a bit more... administrative rather than blindly following one admin.

Do you agree with everything the prime minister of your country thinks? If not, then the same would apply to any type of administration, even if it's on a website. I'm not fascist, I'm anarchist but that's besides the point.

Who are you anyway? You come around calling people new users who should do and not do things like you own the place. Even though you have no contribution to any of the wikis in question, are you the alt of someone that got banned here or something?
