Supercop, also known as Ultracop, is a phenomenon in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Description[]

The myth took off with internet forums with numerous users sharing experiences of encounters with an invincible group of policemen. Certain disconcerting attributes of such cops led them to their nicknames, Robocops, Supercops, or Ultracops.

The phenomenon states that when a player has achieved an elevated wanted level, a particular cop or group of cops will unexpectedly approach the player out of nowhere.[1] Though the event is valid, certain players regard it as an in-game feature. At times, Supercop can bust the player in mid-air.[2]

It's likely that Rockstar didn't create a code for such an event, in the altitude limiter. This specific trait has led players to form a comparison between the cop and Agent Smith from the 1999 movie, The Matrix.[3] Another of these startling events is the invulnerable cop, a certain event in which it's non-viable to shoot a cop,[4] much like T-1000/Joe Austin from the 1991 film, Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Explanation[]

While putting a technical explanation forward, the game accidentally doesn't load the solid part of the cop, which leads the bullet to pass through it. Such other incidents include teleporting of cops from specifically farther ranges.
