Secret Valley is a mythical location in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description[]
Secret Valley refers to a food chain, primarily specializing in Chinese cuisine and its derivatives. For this reason, its location is close to the Chinatown neighborhood. However, it is not accessible through normal in-game means and does not feature an interactive restaurant system, functioning similarly to the donut shop.
The hidden interior of Secret Valley is found in several locations: Downtown San Fierro, Las Barrancas, Pier 69, Blueberry, Fort Carson. It is an unstable and run-down space, with poor collisions and shoddy workmanship. Except for a few chairs that do have collisions, the rest of the environment suffers from numerous graphical errors, such as poor lighting, dark shadows, and contrasts that impede a clear view of the surroundings.
Interestingly, a different restaurant called The Smokin' Beef Grill can be found in the town of Las Barrancas, which has no relation to Secret Valley. It is easily recognizable by the unusual cow figure on its roof, making it a prominent tourist attraction in the area.
Through modifications, it is possible to activate the entrance to the restaurant that contains the Secret Valley interior. However, due to the lack of physics in the interior design, CJ will fall into the void upon attempting to enter.
The main building inside is located in San Fierro, which is related to the side quests for Carl's girlfriends, who can be invited to dinner there. This is the only "legitimate" way to enter the place without using external means. Inside the interior and several others, you can find remnants of food packages from the chain, as well as related images and photographs.
It is likely that Secret Valley is simply a hidden interior used exclusively for these side quests. Therefore, it does not have full collisions or the elaborate design of other restaurants in the game. The only way to properly see its interior is through the dinner with a girlfriend cinematic.
Myths[]
Due to the eerie atmosphere of the interior, several myths and legends arose surrounding the place. One of the earliest was the belief that the place was a trap for players, created by Chinese witch doctors, although this idea is unfounded. Furthermore, the site has been linked to the Epsilon Program, especially with the "Pass" mentioned in said program. Players associated the name "Secret Valley" with these concepts, further fueling speculation. However, there is no real evidence to support any of these myths.
