Sasquatch Creek is a colloquial nickname for an unnamed channel of water running through Whetstone county. The creek consists of an elongated tidal channel fed by two sea inlets running from Oram Bridge in the south, all the way to Whetstone Bridge in the north, effectively segregating Whetstone from Flint County. The creek services a subsidiary creek that runs inland to the southwest, ending behind the abandoned Shady Cabin in the forest of Sequoia trees of Shady Creeks. The creek appears to be somewhat influenced by Bluff Creek in California, where the original Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film was taken.
The creek runs through an area that is a hotspot for reported phenomena, with the most prominent being Bigfoot. Sightings are so frequent in this region that many people dubbed the waterway Sasquatch Creek. Additionally, many strange textures and visual evidence of Bigfoot and other creatures surround the creek including alleged Sasquatch footprints. This has led many players to still believe in the existence of the Sasquatch. Interestingly, on the other side of the river lies a region of the map in Back O' Beyond that appears to resemble the shape of a foot, which has contributed to the fascination with this area.
