Manuel is a conspiracy theorist and recurring character found in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Description[]

Manuel is a resident of Vice City who lives on Prawn Island, likely in one of the derelict mansions. He is a listener of the K-Chat radio station and frequently calls to spread conspiracy theories. During the interview with Gethsemanee Starhawk Moonwaker, Manuel interrupts the program to discuss In the Future, There will be Robots, the play which he claims is a true story. Manuel claims that he is a computer hacker and will hack the robots from the play for his own intent. After that, he claims to be a computer himself as an explanation of how he hijacked the broadcast and begins to talk in a monotone voice. Manuel and Gethsemanee get into a debate about computer ethics. However, there is not much to note after this.

Manuel is likely prophesying the robotic apocalypse, much similar to the Judgment Day apocalypse from the 1984 movie The Terminator, and his character is likely to be based on John Connor from the series. He may have been associated with Domestobots. Ironically, the Domestobot advertisement also plays on K-Chat.

Later, during the events of GTA San Andreas, Manuel is a caller on Area 53. He is extremely paranoid about using the phone to communicate and says that hackers will be able to pinpoint his location and launch nuclear weapons to kill him. However, the host, Marvin Trill, tells Manuel that he should instead be worried about the phone company since they know his full name and phone number.
