The Loch Ness Monster was a myth in Grand Theft Auto V.

It was later added in GTA Online, and appears as an Easter egg after the Cayo Perico Heist update.

Grand Theft Auto V[]

It was rumored that the Loch Ness Monster appears in GTA V, due to the fact that the player has access to submarines, and is able to dive underwater. There were sightings and reports of a dead Loch Ness Monster, but it actually ended up being a whale skeleton.

Grand Theft Auto Online[]

The Loch Ness Monster was later included in an update to GTA Online, where it can be spotted off the coast of Cayo Perico. It can only be seen during the final part of the Cayo Perico Heist, and appears in different spots at beginning or while escaping the island by boat. If the player get too close to the monster, it will dive down quickly. The depiction of the Loch Ness Monster resembles the popular depiction of it as a present-day Plesiosaur, with a long neck, round body and flippers to propel it through the water. The monster cannot be killed.
