Lance Vance's Death is a myth in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Similar to other myths related to Lance Vance, this myth was short lived.
Description
Lance's Death myth revolves around his untimely demise in the end of the game, when he betrayed Tommy to team up with Sonny Forelli, ultimately bringing his death upon himself by getting killed by Tommy in the Vercetti Estate. Shortly after the event, players lived in denial, claiming that Lance did not die and Tommy merely injured him. This was later discarded by Rockstar but the root cause of the rumor was Ken Rosenberg's dialogue after Lance's Death;

The word 'IS' was framed by the creators of the rumor as a hint that Lance is not dead, and if it was the case then Ken would have said 'WAS' instead. The entire scenario was proved to be fallacious as Lance's death was certain to mark the ending of the game.
