The Gant Bridge is a mythical location in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Description[]

The Gant Bridge is a large suspension bridge that links San Fierro to Tierra Robada, through Bayside. It is based on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco. The bridge is held up with two suspension towers, which go above the cloud line.

Being a landmark location, the bridge is frequently traveled by players. Among myth hunters, it is known to be connected to several myths, and the location is used as a starting point when investigating around San Fierro Bay.

Myths[]

The Gant Bridge is mostly connected to myths involved with the San Fierro Bay below it, primarily deep sea monsters like sharks. According to myth hunters, sharks spawn below the bridge and its nearby areas at a higher rate than other parts of the ocean, but this is unconfirmed. Another fan rumor is that players who stand on the concrete foundations below the bridge may see an all-black entity, similar to the Loch Ness Monster, swimming in the bay. Some videos showcase these sightings, but are usually the result of glitched boat shadows.

Another early rumor was that a ghost ship resided near the bridge. At night during foggy weather, a fog horn can be heard when in northern San Fierro. The sound does not come from either of the two cargo ships docked in the bay, which made some players theorize an unseen boat sounded its horn.

The bridge has been linked to the Epsilon Program. An instruction to join the cult says that a prospecting member must "travel through the dawn to the pass pictured in our brochures"[1] to be initiated into the cult. As a bridge, Epsilon hunters theorized that the bridge could be a pass, in a figurative sense. A mural in the Hashbury district shows the Gant Bridge during sunset with a dove flying to the east, which has been interpreted as "travel through the dawn."

On the top of the south tower is a sign reading "There are no Easter Eggs up here. Go away."
