Events of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

During the cutscene of the mission, In The Beginning, a stabbed dead body is hanging from a hook along with huge slabs of meat (behind Sonny Forelli) , this is how Frankie Carbone (Frank Sivero) ended up in Goodfellas, 1990, directed by Martin Scorsese. This is a reference to William Jackson, who was killed and tortured by being hanged from a meat hook by The Chicago Outfit, this also a refernce to Forelli Family's persecution of their enemies. Since the Forelli Family is a mafia family, they are often believed to be the perpetrators behind the Cement Shoe Men. This came out to be true, as Ken Rosenberg reveals that the Forelli Family does inflict such torturous punishment upon their enemies, during the final mission. Moreover, Giorgio Forelli has also been a subject to this myth.

Tommy Vercetti, during his stint with Forelli Familly, killed 11 men sent to kill him in Harwood, Liberty City, earning him the nickname "Harwood Butcher". Tommy was sentenced to 15 years in the Liberty City Prison, intensifying Forelli Family's crime history.
