The Haunted Opera House is located in Bedford Point, Staunton Island.
In 2001, the setting of GTA III, the opera house is located there, whereas in 1998, the setting of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the Liberty City Cemetery is located there. This has led players to believe that the opera house is haunted by ghosts of the people who were laid to rest in the disturbed cemetery. However, as GTA Liberty City Stories serves as a prequel and was made after GTA III, it is most likely false, as Rockstar would not have planned this far ahead when working with a simple game engine. Furthermore, the opera house is also inaccessible to the player, further supporting the belief that this myth as false.
