FIDL is based on the real life German supermarket chain Lidl. It is also a play on the word "fiddle," with "fiddler" being a slang term for a pervert or pedophile. It is also a British slang term for a masturbator, possibly referencing Adult Humor. FIDL also sells German products with sexual terms as names. An example is "Köck" or "Spum."
