Escobar International Airport is a lesser-known mythical location in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. The airport is a reference to the real-life cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Description[]
It is located on the southwestern side of the map. It mainly serves as the local and is the only airport to Vice City. It is likely based on the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. The main terminal building at Escobar International most likely represents the TWA Flight Center, Terminal 5, designed by Eero Saarinen, at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.
Besides these references, Escobar International Airports features a small number of myths and Easter eggs.
