The Church of Satan is a strange building in Bayside appearing in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description[]
The Church of Satan is located in the small town of Bayside. The church caught the attention of myth hunters because of the stained-glass windows on its sides, depicting an angel with black wings. This figure is said to be a depiction of a fallen angel, with its prominent display leading players to believe the building may be occupied by Satanists. Other parts of the church show that it is damaged, with the bell tower having a large chunk taken out of its exterior wall.
The Church of Satan is also subject to a glitch that swaps its lighting. During the day, the church is unnaturally dark, but at night the Church will become very bright and becomes an obvious landmark. The gloomy daytime appearance and late-night activity is also put forward by players as proof that occult rituals take place in the church.
Several people have reported spotting a Demon near the church, this myth is popularly known as the Bayside Demon.
