A Chainsaw is a portable mechanized saw commonly used as a tool for cutting down trees. Due to its intimidating noise and potential for mutilation, it is frequently employed as a weapon in popular movies, such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Scarface, and in popular videogame series such as Doom, Gears of War and Resident Evil. The Chainsaw is one of the most common weapons associated with myths. The most noteable three are: Leatherface, the Apartment 3C Murderer and the "Old Woman" of the Ghost Town. It is also said that Piggsy spawns carrying a chainsaw, but it is supposedly more common to see him with a knife. The chainsaw is normally reported to be wielded by the myth but can strangely enough be found in a location where the myth is located.
Trivia
The chainsaw is the only weapon that leaves a blood effect on the screen.
