Bigfoot (also known as Sasquatch) is a mythical primate that exists in North American folklore. Since the release of GTA San Andreas, players have rumored that Bigfoot exists within the game. There are many supposed in-game references of Bigfoot as well.
GTA V takes place in Los Santos and its surrounding countrysides and forests. Just like GTA San Andreas, GTA V contains many large forests, mountains and wilderness areas.

In the mission Predator in GTA V, Michael must use a sniper rifle fitted with a thermal scope to find the O'Neil brothers in the woods at night. If the player zooms in on the thermal heat dot on the bottom right, Bigfoot can be seen standing upright. Shooting at him does nothing, and he disappears abruptly after a few seconds. This has been proven to be an Easter Egg .
The badge of the Los Santos Police Department features an illustration of Bigfoot in the bottom right corner. The badge can be found on the sides of all Police vehicles.
In the Strangers and Freaks mission The Last One, Franklin meets a hunter who says that he has been chasing a Sasquatch for over 9 years (a reference to GTA San Andreas' release in 2004, which is exactly 9 years from GTA V's release in 2013). After Franklin searches the woods for a while, he will spot Bigfoot and give chase. After a long chase, Bigfoot will collapse from exhaustion and will reveal that he is, in fact, a man in a Bigfoot suit.
A clothing brand called Yeti exists in the game. The player is able to purchase clothes made by Yeti at most Suburban clothing stores. One of the shirts manufactured by Yeti contains a large illustration of a Sasquatch on the front of it.
Other than these references, no other clues of Bigfoot exist within the game. However, because of the possible existence of other cryptids, it is still feasible that Bigfoot can make occasional, fleeting appearances in the open world.
