For the location in GTA III, see Abandoned Beach (GTA III).

The Abandoned Beach is a mythical location in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

Description[]

The abandoned beach is located at the westernmost points of the Vice City's downtown going along the entire length of the district and jutting out into the ocean. Except for a few scattered palm trees, the beach is isolated, which is especially strange considering. Unlike Vice Beach, one of the game's most densely populated areas, the abandoned beach is next to the affluent downtown area. It should be noticed that the beach resembles a swampland, and considering real-life Florida swamps is full of those, the beach may be one.

The area is well known for its vast collection of myth sightings. It was one of the first locations where new myth hunters first witnessed the ghost ship phenomena. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, it is one of the locations where the player can encounter the sniper. Due to the lack of pedestrian spawns, the beach is also renowned for a large amount of ghost sightings.

However, the most famous myth at the abandoned beach is the sea monster. It is common for players to report strange objects in the water while they are in the area. Sea monster can kill the player based on rumors, but this is likely a user error from stepping too deep into the water. Witnesses also say that boats and low-flying aircraft can be flipped over or damaged thanks to inclement weather near the beach.
