so i was playing as trevor right after the train heist out on the northern side of mount gordo, practice hunting with the heavy shotgun, when the police showed up in a bright blue rebel and shot what i was aiming at, then ran me over when i resumed shooting like a normal freaked out ped would. anyway this got me thinking. every protaganist in the gta series can lay down thousands of rounds with no ear plugs and hear just fine after. how do they do this.

maybe after a few rounds or when pulling out a weapon ear plugs could appear in the characters ears. if they just appear with no animation, it wont affect gameplay and realism will be preserved

but didnt gta v sell itself on being "realistic"? and i know ear pro exists in game because the character puts the muffs on when you go to the ammunation range.

i have fired guns unsuppressed with no plugs before. after one shot even a .22LR will make your ears hurt
