It's looking like it's between the Romero Riddle and the Kamikaze Planes. Both have their pros and cons:

Kamikazi Planes lack depth as a mystery and it will be hard to get an interesting and entertaining video out of a brief introduction and 50 clips of somebody getting hit by a plane.

The Romero Riddle has the precise opposite problem in that it will be tricky to co-ordinate a hunt and expand on an entire nexus of mystery in one video, and it will be even trickier at this moment to get the community involved in such a deep, groundbreaking controlled search.

I'm thinking we put it to vote, and we can all consider all aspects before we cast said vote.

But my proposal is this:

For episode 1, we do something easily co-ordinatable and likely to bring results (kamikaze planes).

After analysing the results and response, we use the momentum we've created with the pilot to get a sophisticated, huge hunt going for the romero riddle; break new ground getting to the bottom of what's looking like a potential huge discovery. That would be episode 2, and hopefully, the one that really gets the whole community properly motivated.

Planes spawn a particular distance above the player and fly in a straight line, so if there are any objects in the way, the plane will crash. This applies to all planes (except Andromada and AT-400, which spawn a little higher). The strange part, though, is what happens with Rustlers. Every so often, one will actively try to hit you. They actually AIM for you. Considering the fact that it only happens with this particular WW2 fighter, and the fact it's happened so many times to me while I've been stood on one of the two ships in SF, the only thing that makes sense is if they're a reference to the Japanise kamikaze planes that hit Pearl Harbor in World War 2.

Of course! They'll be in the video descriptions and overlayed as subtitles on the videos. I'm thinking one community hunt per month; that should give us time to get all the clips together.

If you're asking whether or not I'd be willing to feature videos that are already on YouTube, then the answer is yes, as long as the uploader wants me to feature their clip.

Of course, it would have to be about the same myth that we've decided to hunt as a community. I'm thinking of starting a "Community Myth Hunt Suggestions" thread, so if you wanted us to investigate something you've discovered, that would be the place to post it.

Hey, guys! Glad to hear so many of you are on board with this. I can't wait to see what we can achieve if we all work together.

Anyway, I understand some of you have your issues with this, and I hope this post will put them to rest.

One user in particular was understandably worried that this was a thinly-veiled way of stealing content. While this IS primarily a method of aqcuiring new footage, that is exactly where the the magic lies. With everyone contributing, we'll have an endless stream of new videos for the whole community to enjoy, and we can discover strange things much faster than any one user working alone.

Contributors will have their account names overlayed over their clips (e.g "footage taken by,Example101" in the corner), and the video description will contain links to the channel of each user.

Of course, anyone who is happy working on their own can upload their own videos to their own channels. I.E you don't HAVE to take part if you aren't comfortable trusting me with your clips. This just provides those with very little exposure with an opportunity to be featured on a well-known channel. A few years back, I ran a competition for the best myth hunt video, and the winner was featured on my channel. The winning video soon accumulated 4,000 views (nothing he'd uploaded before the competition had come close to that). So I can say for a fact that linking the contributing channels WILL generate views for said contributors.

In addition, I'm thinking we create a separate page on here and upload each video to this website too, either as an embedded link to mine, or as a separate video in its own right.
