It depends actually. I don't have a special vehicle I use. Depends on my mood. I mostly use sanchez for Mt. Chiliad investigation. Sanchez is also great for woods etc.
In GTA SA, as there are no submarines it can get annoying when you investigate while diving. In GTA V, it's better.
Favourite vehicle for myth hunting is sanchez.
